We Or Me

This Saturday afternoon, celebrating Memorial Day, on the green next to the pool, all who attended the Neighbors Meeting Neighbors picnic had a wonderful and enjoyable experience.

Recently I noticed the title of an article in a brochure titled “WE or ME”. The “ME” part of the statement brought quickly to mind the lonely isolation that encompasses so much of our daily living by our constant usage of e-mails, texting, computer searching, television, etc. A narcissistic attitude grows larger with the balloon of self-importance as our messages are sent, and there is no “face-to-face” meetings or suggestions. Electronically we can easily discard the basis of cohesive community living with all its inherent beauty.

The “WE” part of the statement is truly the important and appreciated part as it brings us all together in a cooperative community. This Saturday afternoon, celebrating Memorial Day, on the green next to the pool, all who attended the Neighbors Meeting Neighbors picnic had a wonderful and enjoyable experience. The “WE” section was paramount, and was filled with friendship, smiles, laughter, refreshments, snacks, and listening to the interesting ideas, experiences, and accomplishments of each other. It was really a very enjoyable time in the community of Meadow Hill. Isn’t it great to be living in Meadow Hill.!!!!!
