Special Meeting

Those Present: J.Goselin, L.Weeks, L.May, I.Adamson, J.Trustey, J.Harris

Topics Discussed

1.    Speed bumps

Board members are in agreement that the speed bumps need to be removed.Complaints from residents include the following:

  • Noise
  • Too severe
  • Ineffective
  • Walkers have tripped

A decision was made by the Board to investigate other designs as soon as possible and possibly buy a snow plow adapted to remove snow around speed bumps.

2.    Pest Control Contract

The following decisions were made:

  • The BOD to have a copy of all contracts.
  • A termination of convenience clause in contracts.
  • Check with APM if we can terminate a contract without a penalty.

3.    Arborist Contract

  • The BOD will do a walk “around” on 9..29 @ 1pm
  • Siding is being affected by over grown shrubbery.
  • Revisit contract with Westside
  • How much can we expect our maintenance crew to do in regard to landscaping projects.
  • Do we need to hire an Arborist?

4.    Age Restriction Directive

  • An insert for all Meadow Hill resale packages.
  • The BOD has the right to evict anyone under the age of 55.
  • Send a letter to attorney Peter Alter to inform him that we have retained another attorney to represent Meadow Hill.

5. Road Signs

  • Luther will present a proposal to the BOD next month as to new street signs for Hollister Way North and South.

6. Other Business

  • A spot light has been installed at the flag pole.
  • A motion was made and seconded to deny the request by unit owner #76 to remove the #76 numerals from the signage board located nearest her unit and place them on the signage board nearest her parking space. All in favor.
  • A motion was made and seconded to  reimburse unit owner #19 $500.00, the amount of his insurance deductible. All in favor.
  • The  Board discussed and tabled concerns  that the color of some doors and windows do not conform to Meadow Hill rules.
  • Luther presented an example of a notebook that he would like to see presented to all owners. The notebook would contain the By-Laws and Declarations of the Meadow Hill Association A vote will take place at the BOD meeting next month.
  • Club House

1 Do we need to replace drapes at the Club House.
2. Is it feasible to clean the drapes
3. Cost of cleaning the drapes
4.The Board expects that the Amenities Committee will provide a proposal or options for replacing the blinds.

  • The amenities committee will meet to elect a chairman.
  • The BOD agreed to purchase a used movie projector and screen offered by Laurie Lemrise at a cost of $200.00.

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 11:30. All in favor.
