As we all know very well, this past January was a bear. We experienced more than 60 inches of snow during the last 31 days. (Just think of the conservations we will have with our fellow residents who are snowbirds.) Records have been kept in Connecticut since 1905, more than 105 years, and we are part of the new record.
Our snow budget line item has taken a major hit. A budget line item is an educated estimate of what we thought we would need in that category. We certainly will have to make some adjustments. Our plan is to make up the budgeted shortfall out of our current income.
A bigger concern is how to move the snow that is piled up around our property. We are very fortunate because we have space to put it. That is our plan. We will try to reduce the mounds of snow so we have better lines of sight and room to pile the snow from the next storm.
Some words of caution.
One…Please move your car away from the garage parking area before the storm starts. Darien and Tim want to continue keeping our parking areas as clean as possible.
Two … Use caution when driving.
JUST THINK ….SPRING IS LESS THAN 48 DAYS AWAY. Thanks to our maintenance team for the effort to keep our roads and walkways safe.
