Winter Reminders and Tips
Below are some helpful suggestions to help prevent frozen pipes and other weather-related
issues during these extended cold periods.
1. Heat in unit: Set to at least 55 degrees during freezing conditions.
2. Cabinet doors under the kitchen sink: Keep them open during extremely cold weather to
prevent pipes from freezing and bursting. There are many water pipes beneath and around the
cabinets, especially those on exterior walls of your condo.
3. Slight trickle of water from faucet(s): Keep water running from faucets to prevent pipes from
freezing and bursting.
4. Unattended units: A unit left unattended for any period should have the water supply turned
off and keep the heat at a minimum of 55 degrees.
5. Walkways & Parking Lots: Use caution when walking on walkways and parking lots across
the property, as snow may melt during the day and refreeze at night, creating slippery
conditions.
• Remove welcome mats from your walkway during snow events
• No Parking in front of garages. Please park in designated parking spaces along the roads.
